KYVANN
Kyvann Gonzalez is a BJJ black belt, coach, andfounder of Bodega Jiu Jitsu (Jersey, US), known forbringing a modern ecological approach to the art.
He recently competed on UFC BJJ: Road to the Title,representing Team Musumeci and showcasing hisdynamic, creative style on a global stage.
Both on the mats and online, Kyvann stands out forblending high-level technique with authenticity,humor, and a teaching style that empowers everyathlete.

BJJ Black Belt, Muaythai, Yoga and MovementTrainer. 20 years of martial arts practice. She isguiding us through our Mobility, Yoga and BreathingTechniques sessions. She is passionate abouttravelling, training and teaching (not in this order),so decided to combine it all: sharing her passions iswhat she does, everywhere she goes. Hasexperience with Camps and Retreats in Bali,Thailand, Canary Islands, Czech Republic, Brazil andCosta Rica for more than 4 years.

ERNESTO
Ernesto is the founder of Jungle Mat and part of the community in Uvita. He build the place almost 2 years ago to bring jiujitsu to his area even being “just” a purple belt. Jiujitsu is his passion.
15 years of experience as a personal trainer. Has
dedicated his entire life to find balance for wellbeing
through the 3 essential pillars: mind, body and soul.
Certified Breathworker and Ice Bath trainer, he will
guide us through the cold and its benefits.
Ernesto believes in the foundation of a healthy body
through movement, he wants to support his
community through the martial arts.

General information
All the activities are optional, we can offer different things depending on what you like - and if you want to bring someone with you. The academy offers Yoga, Kickboxing and BJJ classes, you can join in every class you'd like. You can also use our private gym. Surf lessons: Dominical Beach is 15min from Uvita's downtown, which is the most popular surfing spot for advanced surfers. For intermediate surfers Hermosa Beach is recommended (5min. drive) and Dominicalito for beginners (10min drive). We can coordinate hikes to the surrounding rivers, mountains, waterfalls, canyoning, horse riding at the beach, massages, atv and quads ride, everything are available upon request at an extra fee. We can guide you through the night life as well, recommending bars, restaurants and party locations.
Any extra inquiry or wish we will be happy to help. In case you want to flight from San Jose to Uvita, we offer this option for an additional 300$.
